Access to the Sales Room
loft, used as a storage space, has been improved by replacing
the existing ladder with round rungs by a new one with flat
steps made for the task.
The loft space is crossed by a large wooden beam making
access beyond the beam very difficult. To improve the access,
two sections of steps have been constructed with one placed each
side of the beam in the manner of a country stile. After going
over the stile, boxes of stored items can be retrieved by
pushing them under the beam on the loft floor.
A number of 'grab rails' have been also installed in places
to provide additional safety. |
