The Street Organ

Visitors to the Mill will be able to listen to Ann and Adrian's street organ.

The organ is a 21 note keyless Trueman organ built in 1991 by Peter Trueman of Derby.

It is operated by a handle that drives a set of bellows and also a roller that draws the punched card music across the reader bar. The handle has to be turned at a rate appropriate to the tempo of the tune being played to ensure the tune sounds correct.

A PRS licence is required to operate the organ in public.
